4D XDclear probes use GE's single-crystal transducer materials and optimized beamforming to deliver higher sensitivity, deeper penetration, and finer resolution than conventional piezoelectric probes. This translates to better signal-to-noise ratio, improved penetration in larger patients, and higher resolution across the frequency range. When combined with 4D capability, XDclear probes capture full volumetric datasets in real time, enabling dynamic visualization of cardiac valve motion, fetal anatomy, and other moving structures without the artifacts that can occur with reconstructed 3D. On the Vivid E95, the 4V-D XDclear volume probe supports real-time 4D transthoracic echocardiography, providing simultaneous multi-plane views for faster assessment of ventricular function, valve morphology, and congenital heart disease.
