About Report Writer
Report Writer integrates with the ultrasound system's measurement and image capture workflow to auto-populate report templates with exam data. When a sonographer saves measurements during an exam, those values are automatically mapped to the corresponding fields in the report template. Images captured during the study are inserted into designated positions within the report. Clinicians can add free-text notes, select from predefined finding descriptions, or record voice annotations that attach to the report file. The report templates are customizable per exam type, so a thyroid report includes different fields and normal ranges than an obstetric report. Completed reports can be exported via DICOM to PACS or printed directly from the system. For practices without a dedicated reporting workstation or third-party reporting software, Report Writer provides a practical on-system alternative that eliminates the workflow interruption of switching to a separate computer.
