GE C1-6-D
The C1-6-D uses GE's XDclear single-crystal transducer technology to produce wider bandwidth and higher sensitivity than conventional PZT ceramic elements. This translates to improved penetration at 1.0 MHz for large-habitus abdominal patients and finer axial resolution at 6 MHz for obstetric detail. The 70-degree sector angle and 17 x 70 mm footprint cover standard abdominal anatomy, and optional contrast-enhanced ultrasound mode extends the probe into liver lesion characterization on supported LOGIQ and Vivid systems.
Specifications
XDclear bandwidth covers deep abdominal penetration and mid-frequency obstetric resolution in one probe.
Single-crystal elements produce wider bandwidth and higher sensitivity than conventional PZT ceramic arrays.
Standard curved array sector captures full right hepatic lobe and standard obstetric views.
Contact area sized for subcostal, transabdominal, and flank approaches.
Reaches deep retroperitoneal structures and the aorta in larger adult patients.
Optional contrast-enhanced mode supports focal liver lesion characterization with microbubble agents.
D-Pin interface connects to GE LOGIQ and Vivid flagship ultrasound systems.
Applications
Abdominal & Liver Imaging
XDclear technology improves signal-to-noise ratio at depth, which matters most in the right hepatic lobe, retroperitoneum, and pancreas where tissue attenuation is highest. The 30 cm depth range covers the full liver span and reaches the aorta and IVC in larger patients. Optional contrast-enhanced mode supports focal liver lesion characterization using microbubble agents, differentiating hemangioma from metastatic deposits by wash-in and wash-out timing patterns.
Obstetric & Gynecologic Imaging
The 1.0–6 MHz bandwidth balances the deep penetration needed for third-trimester imaging through larger maternal habitus with the resolution required for fetal biometric measurements. Standard OB views including BPD, HC, AC, and FL are captured within the 70-degree sector. The fetal heart application supports four-chamber and outflow tract screening with Color Doppler overlay.
Vascular & Urological Imaging
Abdominal vascular applications include aortic diameter measurement, renal artery Doppler, and portal venous assessment. The XDclear bandwidth advantage improves Color Doppler sensitivity in deep vessels where conventional probes struggle with low signal return. Urological imaging covers kidney morphology, bladder volume estimation, and post-void residual measurement.
