
GE P2D CW
The P2D CW is a dedicated continuous wave Doppler pencil probe that measures peak blood flow velocities without the limitations of pulsed Doppler aliasing. At 2.0 MHz, it penetrates deep enough to assess aortic and mitral valve jets, tricuspid regurgitation velocities, and peripheral arterial waveforms. The 16 mm pencil form factor allows precise angular positioning along the Doppler beam axis. D-pin connectivity pairs it with Vivid E95, LOGIQ E10, Fortis, Totus, and Vivid S70 systems.

Applications
Cardiac Hemodynamic Assessment
Continuous wave Doppler measures peak velocities across aortic, mitral, and tricuspid valves without aliasing. The 2.0 MHz frequency provides deep penetration for aortic stenosis jet velocity quantification, mitral regurgitation assessment, and right heart pressure estimation via tricuspid regurgitation velocity. CW Doppler data feeds directly into valve gradient and cardiac output calculations.
Peripheral Vascular Assessment
The pencil probe form factor enables ankle-brachial index (ABI) measurement by detecting arterial waveforms at the dorsalis pedis, posterior tibial, brachial, and radial arteries. CW sensitivity reaches vessels that are difficult to image with standard duplex probes, supporting vascular lab protocols and peripheral artery disease screening.
