GE L3-12-D
The L3-12-D covers an unusually broad bandwidth for a linear probe, reaching from 3 MHz deep-tissue imaging up to 12 MHz superficial detail. The 38.4 mm aperture fits comfortably on the neck for thyroid and carotid work and provides enough coverage for pediatric abdominal scanning. D-Pin connectivity limits it to GE's flagship LOGIQ E10 and LOGIQ Fortis platforms, where it takes advantage of advanced beamforming and harmonic imaging modes.

Specifications
Extended bandwidth covers deep vascular structures through superficial thyroid and breast imaging in one probe.
Standard linear aperture fits the neck for thyroid/carotid work and covers pediatric abdominal fields.
Full diagnostic mode set for vascular hemodynamics and tissue morphology.
Mid-depth capability extends the linear probe's reach beyond typical superficial-only imaging.
D-Pin interface connects to GE's flagship LOGIQ E10 and LOGIQ Fortis systems.
Applications
Vascular Assessment
Carotid intima-media thickness measurements and plaque characterization benefit from 12 MHz resolution at shallow depth. The 3 MHz low end provides enough penetration to image deeper vessels including the subclavian and common femoral arteries. Color and PW Doppler quantify stenosis severity and waveform morphology across the peripheral vascular tree.
Small Parts & Thyroid Imaging
High-frequency operation at 8–12 MHz resolves thyroid nodules for TI-RADS classification and guides fine needle aspiration biopsies. The 38.4 mm aperture captures the full thyroid lobe in most patients without panoramic stitching. Superficial lymph node assessment in the cervical chain and axilla uses the same frequency range.
Pediatric & Abdominal Imaging
The 3 MHz floor provides adequate penetration for pediatric abdominal surveys where a convex probe is unnecessary. Linear geometry simplifies anatomy orientation for appendicitis screening and pyloric stenosis measurement. On LOGIQ Fortis, the probe supports harmonic imaging modes that reduce clutter in difficult-to-image pediatric patients.
