GE Vivid Focus

$4.74

For everyday cardiac imaging, GE Vivid Focus brings cSound processing and the new 4Sc-RS probe to routine 2D echo. Easy AutoEF, Easy AFI LV, AI Auto Measure 2D and AI Cardiac Auto Doppler reduce manual steps in ejection fraction, strain and Doppler measurements. Linear and curved probes extend the same system to vascular, abdominal and soft-tissue exams, where Clarity+ reduces noise and Radiantflow gives small-vessel color flow a 3D-like appearance.

  • New 4Sc-RS probe with XDclear and cSoundA slim footprint with a rounded lens and corners reduces rib pressure and keeps contact in apical windows, for consistent cardiac images from exam to exam.
  • Easy AutoEF, Easy AFI LV and AI Cardiac Auto DopplerAI and automation tools take manual steps out of ejection fraction, LV strain and Doppler measurements, supporting consistent results across users and exam types.
  • Linear and curved probes with Clarity+ and RadiantflowCarotid, liver and soft-tissue exams run on the same system, with noise reduction for clearer tissue borders and 3D-like color flow for small-vessel detail.

Key features & benefits

Built for everyday cardiovascular

AI Cardiac Auto Doppler

AI-based Doppler tracing that extends GE's Cardiac Auto Doppler to more spectrum types and adds heart valve measurements, taking manual steps out of routine cardiac Doppler work.

Clarity+

Real-time image processing that suppresses noise and speckle while sharpening tissue boundaries and small structures, for clearer differentiation between anatomical structures.

Radiantflow

Adds shading to 2D color flow so small vessels take on a 3D-like appearance and their detail is easier to follow in non-cardiac exams, such as liver and vascular imaging.

Scan On Battery

Continue scanning for up to 60 minutes on the optional system battery, without wall power, while the system moves between the echo lab, procedure rooms and the bedside.

Easy AutoEF

Biplane left ventricular ejection fraction in one click on adult transthoracic exams. Easy AutoEF works with an ECG connected and, with minimal extra input, without one, so EF is available even when leads aren't practical.

Easy AFI LV

Automated speckle-tracking strain analysis of the left ventricle. AI recognizes the apical views and places the region of interest, then reports global and segmental myocardial function with minimal manual tracing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Vivid Focus is designed for everyday cardiac imaging and routine 2D echo. It joins Vivid Explorer and Vivid Advanced below the ultra-premium Vivid Pioneer, on the same cSound imaging foundation. Practices that also perform carotid, abdominal or soft-tissue exams can run them on the same system with linear and curved probes.

The 4Sc-RS is a cardiac probe GE introduced with Vivid Focus. It is built on GE's XDclear probe technology and cSound imaging to deliver consistent image quality exam after exam. Its slim footprint and rounded lens and corners are designed to reduce rib pressure and optimize contact in apical windows. It covers apical four-chamber, parasternal and color flow views.

Vivid Focus uses the new 4Sc-RS probe for cardiac imaging, along with linear and curved probes for vascular, abdominal and soft-tissue exams. The specific linear and curved models are confirmed when your system is configured. Your quote names every included probe by model number, so the probe set matches the exams your practice performs.

Yes. Vivid Focus extends beyond cardiology with linear and curved probes. Clarity+ improves tissue differentiation and border definition while reducing noise, and Radiantflow gives small-vessel color flow a 3D-like appearance. Typical examples include carotid imaging with color flow and liver imaging with Radiantflow. B-Flow, IMT measurement and LOGIQ View panoramic imaging are also available.

GE lists four AI and automation tools across the new Vivid systems, including Focus: AI Auto Measure 2D, Easy AutoEF, Easy AFI LV and AI Cardiac Auto Doppler. They are designed to reduce manual steps in measurements such as ejection fraction, strain and Doppler, and to support consistency across users and exam types. Each is an option on Vivid Focus, so your quote lists the ones included.

Vivid Focus offers GE's Automated Function Imaging (AFI) speckle-tracking tools for three chambers. Easy AFI LV analyzes left ventricular strain, AFI LA covers left atrial strain, volumes and emptying fraction, and AFI RV covers right ventricular free wall strain, global strain and TAPSE. Myocardial Work and AFI Stress are available on Vivid Advanced and Vivid Explorer, not on Focus.

Yes. Vivid Focus offers Smart Stress, GE's stress echo module for exercise and pharmacological protocols, along with LVO and LVO Stress. LVO (left ventricular opacification) uses ultrasound contrast agents to define endocardial borders when acoustic windows are poor, at rest or during stress. These are options on Focus, so your quote specifies which packages are included.

Yes, with the optional battery. Vivid Focus can scan on battery power and offers a battery transport mode, which supports moving the system between the echo lab, procedure rooms and the bedside. Power Saving Mode can dim the display and move the system into standby or sleep after a period of inactivity. Your quote states whether the battery is included with your system.

Power Saving Mode uses configurable dim, standby and sleep modes that activate automatically when the system is idle. It is designed to reduce energy costs and unnecessary power use while keeping the system ready for the next exam. Each practice can set how quickly the system steps down after a period of inactivity.

Vivid Focus uses the familiar Vivid interface, with one-click controls for switching between probes and presets. A configurable touch panel holds personalized measurement favorites, keeping frequently used tools within easy reach during a scan. The Focus touch panel is fixed; a tiltable touch panel is available on Vivid Explorer and Vivid Advanced.

Vivid Focus is GE's everyday 2D system and doesn't offer 4D imaging or intracardiac echo (ICE). GE positions transesophageal imaging on the other new systems: Vivid Advanced adds multi-plane TEE and 2D ICE, and Vivid Explorer adds 4D, multi-plane TEE and 4D ICE. If TEE or ICE is part of your practice, Vivid Advanced is the next step up.

All three share cSound imaging, the four AI measurement tools and battery-supported operation. Vivid Focus is built for everyday cardiac imaging with the new 4Sc-RS probe. Vivid Advanced adds multi-plane TEE, 2D ICE, a CARTOSOUND interface and Myocardial Work. Vivid Explorer adds 4D imaging and 4D ICE, 4D valve quantification and AFI Stress. All three support vascular, abdominal and soft-tissue imaging.

Yes. GE's EchoPAC Software Only v211 introduces the same new capabilities available on Vivid Explorer, Vivid Advanced and Vivid Focus, so clinicians can review, analyze and quantify studies on-site or remotely with consistent tools. When GE announced it in August 2026, EchoPAC Software Only v211 was 510(k) pending in the United States. Ask about current U.S. availability before adding it to your order.

Yes. The FDA cleared Vivid Focus, together with Vivid Explorer and Vivid Advanced, under 510(k) K261313, with a substantially equivalent decision on September 2, 2026. The clearance includes a Predetermined Change Control Plan, and the system also carries the CE Mark. GE's August 28, 2026 launch announcement predates this clearance.

GE has not described Vivid Focus as a replacement for the Vivid T9 or any other model. It introduced Focus as a new member of the Vivid family, built on the same foundation as Vivid Pioneer and designed for everyday cardiac imaging. If you are comparing the two, review probes, software options and configured price side by side; Standard Ultrasound can quote both systems.
